Metaphor Analysis of Student Teachers among Cooperating Teachers in Kindergarten

    Abstract

    The purpose of this study is to know how cooperating teachers perceive the concept ‘student teacher’ and add a meaning to student teacher through metaphor analysis. As a result, six categories were identified : growth and progress type, imitation type, patience type, toddle type, immaturity type, hope type. The findings of the study suggested that professors of early childhood education should give support to cooperating teacher and student teacher to maintain close relationship through communication and collaboration during practicum.
